New Video Out: Martyr For Justice (Charlie’s Song)

October 10, 2025

This song came out of one of the most difficult moments I can remember.

Exactly a month ago today, while we were on tour in Hawaii, I woke up to the graphic and scarring footage of Charlie Kirk being assassinated. It was shocking and heartbreaking. Over the years, we’d shared a few stages with Charlie, and I was always encouraged by his boldness to speak truth and share the Gospel with conviction — even when it wasn’t easy or popular. At one event, he even went as far as calling us his heroes, something that deeply humbled and inspired me.

That night, as we performed “Valley of Decision,” the lyric “This is no game, people have to die in His name” suddenly hit me in a new way. I had to pause, take a deep breath, and let the Lord redirect the moment. What began as silence and prayer turned into two hours of deep worship. Somehow, through the grief, God began to stir something powerful.

In the days that followed, we started seeing signs of revival everywhere — churches filling up, people buying Bibles, spontaneous baptisms, and hearts turning back to God. It felt like a spark of something new… something holy.

Then, I received a message from our friend Kapena, one of Hawaii’s most loved artists and producers. He wrote:

“This past week at church, my uncle preached about how Charlie was similar to John the Baptist. The word planted the seed for this song in my heart. I wasn’t sure if it was hitting too close to home, but God just put it on my heart and I couldn’t even sleep. Then I saw your post about being friends with Charlie, and it blew me away.”

When I heard what he’d written, it moved me deeply. Within hours, I added a verse, chorus, and a Dancehall rap. The Lord used that writing process to help me process the loss — and to turn grief into worship.

“Martyr for Justice” isn’t about politics or sides. It’s about courage — the kind of faith that can’t be silenced. It’s about the hope that rises even when darkness tries to snuff it out.

Charlie’s death reminds us that persecution and hatred are real — not just here, but all around the world. Yet our response must be different. We don’t fight with anger or violence; we respond with prayer, love, and truth. As we sing:

“Like a seed that has fallen to the ground, new life it will yield — this is the turning point, the harvest field.”

My prayer is that this song brings healing, conviction, and hope — that it draws us closer to the heart of God and to each other.
